Growing in maturity
Categories: reflections | July 11th, 2010 | by admin | no commentsEveryone realizes that eventually he will get old. They will have wrinkles and hair turns white. Why we grow old? Is there any way to get rid of old age come to us? However, there is an important part in our lives that can not be measured in terms of age. It’s called maturity. Well, attitude, character, way of looking at, look at things from a different perspective that process over time we become better, not wrinkled like our bodies! Two things are opposite and very close to our lives. Then, how do we get that maturity?
Maturity leads us to see how to respond, capture and manage what has been entrusted in our lives. Often we lose something and take all the bad things that happen in our lives as something sad and gives us the opportunity to self-pity. However, in the middle of the process prior to maturity, God is at work within us, another understanding, which is totally different from what we’ve thought. Not springboard of thought, but a long way in our spiritual journey to find God in His will and sovereignty.
Learning to understand the maturity as a process, then we learn how God shapes us more mature in the Lord. The more understanding of His wisdom to live this life. We no longer ask why this or that happened, but began to wrestle how I deal with things that happen in my life.
